Devi Ahilya jayanti Parv
Indore, celebrated as India’s cleanest city and a vibrant "smart city," serves as the regal stage for Devi Ahilya Jayanti Parv.
Devi Ahilya Jayanti Parv is a two-day cultural celebration organized annually on 30th and 31st May by the Culture Department. The event begins at the Rabindra Natyagriha with a grand staging of the drama "Maheshwar ki Maheshweta," which beautifully depicts the life and contributions of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. The second day features the historic Rajwada campus coming alive with devotional and easy music performances by eminent artists. It is a heartfelt tribute that invites everyone to respect and celebrate the noble spirit of the Holkar dynasty.
Beyond attending the festivities, explore the multi-story Rajwada Palace, the stunning glasswork of Kanch Mandir, and the majestic Lalbagh Palace. Visit the spiritual Khajrana Ganesh and Annapurna Mandir, or admire the 8-meter idol at Bada Ganapati. Nature lovers can enjoy the lotus-filled Gulawat Valley or a safari at Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary. From the culinary delights of Sarafa Bazar and Chappan Dukan to many more experiences, Indore offers a perfect mix of heritage, flavor, and modern charm.
