In the 1830s, Annandale was a playground for British officers and their families through the British Raj. Originally noted as "Company Ka Baag", it offered a pleasant escape from routine life. Here, the British indulged in fancy dress shows, picnics, and birthday celebrations. The grounds echoed cultural celebrations, including Gymkhana events and sports like polo and cricket. Every year, the National Championship of Polo graced this verdant expanse.
