Escape into a world of spirituality

Far from the chaos of the town lies a calm and quiet sanctuary that will bring you close to divinity. Found in Pushkar, just 15 km from Ajmer, the Brahma Place of worship takes you on a sacred tour that enriches your mind, body and soul. Constructed around the 14th century, this place of worship presents striking marble and stone slab structures with an well-known red pinnacle (shikhara) and ‘Hamsa’(Swan) bird motif.

What makes this shrine special is the fact that there are only a few Brahma shrines in the world, and this shrine is the oldest across them. Regarded as one of the most prominent places of worship, this shrine is thronged by pilgrims year-round. Here, worship of Lord Brahma is widely seen as the path towards ultimate liberation. A dip in the sacred Pushkar Waterbody followed by a shrine visit is believed to help purge one's soul of past transgressions.
