Step into the grand Alwar Town Fort-palace, where every corner whispers tales of royalty and grandeur! Step into a world of opulence and history as you see this design gem set amid the heart of Alwar, Rajasthan. too called the Vinay Vilas Fort-palace, this enjoyable monument was constructed by Raja Bakhtawar Singh in 1791 AD.
The outstanding design of the fort-palace is a fusion of Mughal and Rajputana styles. As one enters, the imposing gates adorned with intricate carvings hint at the opulence waiting for the guests inside. The fort-palace consists of marble pavilions with bases made of lotus flower in the large central courtyard. The fort-palace has many entries and they are named as Jai Pol, Suraj Pol, Laxman Pol, Chand Pol, Kishan Pol and Andheri Gate. Beyond the gates, lies an open ground with Krishna places of worship on all four sides. The Urban centre Fort-palace has 15 impressive towers and 51 smaller towers facing the peak slopes. The walls and ceilings are embellished with marvellous work of murals and mirror work.
