Much more than a suspension bridge

An encounter you can have, at the grand Ram Jhula (Hindi word for 'swing’), a famous hanging bridge set in the heart of Rishikesh. This well-known bridge is named after Lord Rama, one of the most key gods in Hindu mythology. Spanning 450 feet, it connects the two banks of the Ganga creating a calm passage for pedestrians. As you can’t drive a four-wheeler on the bridge, cycles, and two-wheelers are allowed on it. As you cross the bridge, you will be treated to panoramic views of the river below, the lush hillsides, and the myriad places of worship dotting the riverbanks.
