Mindrolling Monastery is regarded for many things, but chief amid them is the Great Stupa, a towering masterpiece inaugurated in 2002 that commands attention with its sheer scale. This eye-catching marvel rises over 200 feet tall and spans around 100 square feet. Being one of the largest stupas in Asia, it is a centre of highlight in Mindrolling Monastery and truly a marvel of outstanding craftsmanship. Another masterpiece awaits on its upper floors (accessible on Sundays): a colossal 130-foot statue of Lord Buddha is a testament to the devotion permeating every corner of this extraordinary sanctuary.
